Type 2 Blood sugar level

Hi
My practice nurse text me today saying my blood sugar levels were 60 so no need to see her for my diabetes appointment
What is a good reading please ?

If it's an annual review then you do need to see the DN for foot checks etc. According to DUK it's a 14 point check.

If you are in the UK a normal HbA1C would be under 42 mm/l

That's for a non diabetic???

NICE guidelines suggest that T2s are encouraged to aim for 48 or 53 (depending on medications), but medication should be adjusted if level goes above 58...

So if @Stephturley64 is in the UK then I think that her practice nurse isn't following the guidelines....

They may be the guidelines but nice doesn’t really recognise that remission is even possible, assume that progression and deterioration is normal, so they are not pushing as hard for normality as many of us in here are achieving.

I agree the nurse is complacent
