Type 2 Blood sugar levels

About two months ago I found out that I have type two diabetes and was given metformin one tablet twice a day and after 2 weeks to have two twice a day .When I was having one tablet 2 times a day my blood sugar levels were between 3.9 to 5 now I am taking 2 tables twice a day my sugar levels are 6 to 7 I have two tables in the morning and two tables at night would it help if I take the tables one in the morning one at dinner time and one at 5pm and the last one before I go to bed.

I believe you need to speak to your GP. If you have kept a food diary with your blood glucose readings, he will be able to interpret them and suggest a more agreeable method of your meds!
