Prediabetes Blood sugar levels

I was diagnosed with pre diabetes last year I had my yearly blood test and it’s gone from 42 to 69 does anyone know if that is in the pre diabetes range

My understanding is, for type 2 diabetes, anything over 48 is classified as diabetes and anything above 42 (but below 48) is pre diabetes … at least, that is the case in the UK. Other countries have different cut off points.
 
I agree with @In Response , that your result indicates diabetes, however a diagnosis is usually confirm with a second test. If that comes back high too, you should then be offered all the tests and support (which varies around the country) that you are entitled to as a diabetic.
 
I had two HbA1c tests close together to confirm my original T2 diagnosis, so I'd agree that your result really ought to be double checked.

And have you had any changes in medication, health, stress, etc that might possibly cause this big increase?
