Type 2 Blood Sugar Levels

hi, welcome

are you testing? hows your diet? are you overweight? on meds? how high is your hyper?

Need more info really Kevin. A general way to bring levels down is exercise ? However, the best thing is to discover why you are going high in the first place and prevent it. Keep a food diary and log your BG results and you may see why.

hi, welcome

when I am testing I am between 7 and 13 on my meter. my diet is within 200-300 carbs a day. I cannot exercise at the moment due to a foot operation but will start mid Jan 14. I am on Metformin 1000mg morning and night with Gliclazide.
the one thing I have been taking is Sinutab for a bad cold I have at the moment. I thought that eating extra bits Christmas day has done this but since then I have controlled my carbs intake.

You might want to try reducing your carb intake and maybe check what kind of carbs you are eating. That level of carbs would make me hyper too.

i had a bad cold recently and the chemist told me i definately wasnt allowed sinutab or anything else for that matter, it could be that, plus i agree the carbs may be reduceable if you can, the lack of exercise due to your foot op could also be pushing the blood up, so a combination of all these :(
