Recently I started taking temporary antibiotics for acne and I've noticed that my blood sugar levels are quite a bit lower, so I'm only taking about half the amount of insulin that I used to. I went from around 2 units of Lantus per day to 1 unit of Lantus per day or less. No mealtime insulin. This seems like a very small amount, so I want to make sure that my carb intake is still being processed properly to fuel my brain and body.Do the antibiotics just increase my insulin sensitivity or are they lowering my blood sugar in a different way than the insulin does?
