Yes GP aware of ketones in urine but was told not to worry about this. When testing ketones were always ++ & +++.
It's weird though as I'm still functioning going to work, doing everyday chores etc although it's an effort, that's why I haven't been to A&E. GP told me to go only if I start vomiting which I haven'tKetones in urine in someone with high blood sugar levels and symptoms of exhaustion and nausea are NOT something to be put off dealing with until GAD test results are available. With ketones +++ you should be in hospital treated with insulin immediately.
Please call 111 or just go to A&E - if you have had high blood sugar and ketones for any extended period you are at high risk of diabetic ketoacidosis a serious life threatening diabetic complication.
