Blood sugar readings

New to checking my blood sugars wondering if someone can help me, tonight 2hrs after dinner tested blood sugars reading was 6.7 so fine, going to bed so rechecked and reading was 7.7 which I thought was odd as I haven’t eaten anything else and only drank water, so I checked again on a different finger as I had trouble getting blood out the 1st time and got 6.5.
Why have I got such different readings only mins apart, would you log the lower or higher reading?

Blood test meters only need to be within 15% of the actual number to be considered accurate enough for use, so both those numbers are within 15% of 7 for example, so yeah basically they are never completely accurate I'm afraid, I guess you could pick the average
