Blood sugar spikes in early pregnany

i am 5 weeks pregnant (yay) and have had three spikes in my blood sugar over the last two weeks.

On waking I’m usually around the 4-5 mark. Two hours after food between 6-7. My specialist is very happy with that but in the last two weeks it’s gone up to 11 once (I had a bump of extra insulin and got it down to 5 within the hour) and twice up to 8.

I am so worried about harming my unborn baby.

Has anyone been through this that can reassure me please?
