blood sugar tests

I have tested my blood sugar 3 times, each test only seconds apart, and each test gives me a different answer from 8.1 - 12.3! Does anyone know why?

Could be plenty of possibilities:

No meter is perfect and even the best meters will vary in accuracy by ~10%
No two drops of blood have the same amount of glucose
Anything on your hands could affect the results
There is such a thing as faulty test strips

Add all of those together and you could get huge variations in readings.
