I was 2.2 at 1am this morning, I had 5 starbursts and at 1:48, it was LO so I had 5 more starbursts, and at 3:25 it was 4.5, I had two starbursts cause I felt low then at 5:23 it went down 3.4. Why does it go down and why is my blood sugar still low after finishing 2 packets of starbursts.

also, my blood sugar was 9.0 at 12:13 and on my meter it said it is rising quickly, I took two units after I saw it was 9.0and at 13:19, it’s 12.3. I’m type 1

My DN suggested that 10 mins after taking the sugar hit to eat something carby - a biscuit or 2. Helps stop the rollercoaster of a bad hypo

After taking emergency jelly babies, I follow up with a couple of rich tea biscuits to avoid a sugar crash.

Oh thank you! :)
What about the hyper situation? Why does it go up then after a while, goes down?

It depends on how much sugary stuff you take. Better short time hyper than hypo.
