Blood sugar worries

I've had high blood sugar levels ( between HI and 10.6)
For the past 8 months. The doctors and diabetic specialist are trying different medication to see what they can do to bring it down to around 6-7 at present I take 1gram Metformin twice a day and 160mg of glyclazide twice a day. I'm also taking Emagliflozin 10mg in the morning. I drink at least 3 litres of water each day, and have very little sugar in my diet.
I avoid carbohydrates and have mostly protein throughout the day. I don't have set mealtimes but I pick at things up until about half four in the afternoon and then just have water or one coffee without sugar or sweetener.
My blood sugar levels have been between 16 - 10 but never stay at a low number for consecutive days and it's making me feel quite depressed since I have been told to stay in until they can maintain below 10 for a few days.

All them pills & has any doctor/endo actually checked your insulin production ?
Anyone ever mentioned c-peptide or antibodies ?

If you are truly doing low carb, I mean properly & not achieving results then you need to look further

Picking at food throughout the day is not the best idea for someone with a problem controlling blood sugar.
Every time you eat your blood sugar goes higher, continually eating small bits all day doesn't give it chance to come down before the next mouthful.
By just eating one nourishing, low carb meal, you give your levels a chance to come down. And your pancreas gets to have a rest.
What exactly are you eating, "avoiding carbohydrates and mainly protein" doesn't give us much idea of what could be causing your high levels.
Carbs can be very sneaky and find their way into our diets without us realising.
I also echo Ronancastled point, if your diet is as low carb as you say, what tests has your Dr done to investigate the possibility that you are not a typical T2

Putting you under house arrest seem to me to be very a strange way of managing your care.
