Blood sugar

Bread of any kind only with extreme care here be dragons ! --- even aparently similar breads can have very different effects on different people,
Bread is slower burning sugar, whole grain bread is best looked on as a delayed action slower burning sugar.
I would like to give it up completely but I love toast and marmalade !

I don't think I eat too much protein as I don't eat meat only fish a couple of times a week . I wonder if its the bread . Too much milk maybe .
I cant have bread or milk (milk has lactose which is a type of sugar) and bread is a carb!

I try not to eat too much bread and I've managed to get my carbs intake down so my bs readings have dropped too I'm happy with that , just got to get the weight off now . Weigh in in the morning so fingers crossed !

Hi I have changed to eating brown wholemeal bread about 3 slices a day at most and this has worked for me! Good luck. I test every day and keep a log of the foods I eat and have found a pattern of the foods that work best for me.I suppose everyone's body reacts differently I think it's just trial and error!
