Hi type two for ten years I meds’ till two years ago, one s.r. Metformin, blood sugar today. Fasting 5.4. Two hrs after food 4.7. Unwell at moment taking antibiotics Question, should I be concerned about 4.7 after eating
 
It isn't clear if you are taking medication - Metformin inhibits glucose release by the liver - so need it or not, you might not get it if you are on Metformin.
If you are not on Metformin then your body should cope with the need to raise blood glucose.
 
I wouldn't be at all concerned if you are not on any diabetes meds.
What were you before your meal, as a matter of interest? Was it a big drop, or more or less flat.
 
To recap. One s.r metformin daily. Blood sugar before meal 5.4 2 hrs after 4.7 on antibiotics for an infection is this okay

Yes its fine. Perfectly normal. Why do you think there may be a problem? What did you eat?
