One random reading doesn’t mean a lot but in general, 4.7 is a normal level unless the level is usually much higher then experiencing a 4 may bring on hypo symptoms.

Under 4 is deemed to be a hypo.

I am always in the mid to high 4s in the afternoons before my tea, and often at other times, too. It is perfectly normal.

Do you mean 'is it too low' or do you mean 'is it a wonderfully low blood sugar'?

Not unless it isn’t. There’s lots of us who thrive at threes, even the occasional two. I think those taking insulin may not think that’s a good idea though.
