Blood sugars with concussion

Hi all, sorry for only being a sporadic visitor on here. Just wondering if anyone has experience with concussion and how this affected blood sugars please? I hit my head on Monday and have been running really high since. Have been doing 50% increased basal and lots of extra boluses and getting fed up of still running high. Tried to see online how this could be linked as it’s the only ‘unusual’ thing that I can see that could be affecting my blood so badly but just not really sure it does make sense or if it happens to be a coincidence.

Thanks

Injury, along with illness stress etc can raise bg levels. I would advise you speak with your DN about this.

Good Luck and hope you're healing quickly.

If you hit your head on Monday and still experiencing problems I would see a doctor to check you have not damaged something serious.

Hey, did you check with a doctor? How did it go?
I also had a concussion recently, and I'm going through the same issue, adding to basal dose, and also bolus.
