Blood test

Hi, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes almost 6 months ago iam due my 1st blood test next week and I have to fast do I still take the medication that was prescribed for it .I normally have my breakfast at 6.30am and my test is at 8.40am
Will the medication affect the test?
 
Hi,

My suggestion is just ring the place that will take your bloods and ask- I'm sure they will have been asked before. Better to ask than to either worry about it or mess up your test.
