Sorry bit of a long post!!
I’ve been on Ozempic for just over a year, in that time I’ve experienced nausea, vomiting and what I can only describe as an anxious/ feeling of doom in my stomach. I’ve had a lot of time off work because of this and in turn I’ve received warnings for my sickness levels. At my last diabetic review in December my consultant said he was happy for me to take 1/2 the dose of ozempic and the symptoms should stop if not he said to ask for blood tests to rule out nothing else was going on. I’m still having symptoms so went to see a gp on the 15th May explained everything, she prescribed lansoprazole and said if nothing changed to call back in two weeks for a blood test. I returned to work on Monday after being off two weeks for stomach issues, I was only at work 3 1/2 hours vomited and had to go home as I felt awful. I rang drs on Tuesday requesting to have this blood test done as I’m so fed up with this now. It’s not fair on my work or myself. I spoke to the receptionist and explained she said she’d need to speak to the gp I saw and would call me back, I’m still waiting. I messaged them yesterday morning and they said they would chase it up but I’ve heard nothing. Is it normal to have to wait all this time for a simple blood test? Has anyone had to go through this?
