I current;y have a blood testing system (ultra) that allows me to prick my forearm to obtain blood samples, are there alternative kits out there that allow the same thing. I have real problems with pricking my finger, thks

I might be wrong but I think most Pricking devices come with an alternative site attachment. You just need to be careful to follow the instructions so that the reading you get are accurate. I have just ordered the Bayer Countour USB and the pricking device does come with the clear alternative site cap. Hope this helps a bit. :D

If you are contemplating using AST (alternative site testing) you should ALWAYS discuss this first with your HCP's as the accuracy is not as good due to the time delay of various different sites.
