Bloody doctor's surgery!

Thicker needles

Don't know if they'll fit my pens.

Surgery not taking calls this morning.

They've picked the wrong person to tangle with here.
 
Ridiculous isn't it, and I know.i would.probably have the same reaction as you. Though, with all the stories on here not surprising, but doesn't stop it being ridiculous! Hopefully its an ordering mistake, and they will correct it ~ heres hoping

My surgery did that too
They did agree to go back to my usual needles after I showed the doctor my bruising, but no consultation about the change, no warning , so I had to open the box and use them, and the sheer hassle of having to use the the **** things against my will, and make an appointment to change them infuriated me

Good luck with getting them changed back .

My surgery recently changed from 4mm 32G to 31G i.e. slightly thicker but I can't detect any difference in pain or bruising. What have you been changed from and to?
 
5mm 32g to 31g, my concern is whether they will fit my pens or not as I use a half unit pen due to sensitivity/ratios

Good luck and I would feel exactly the same as you, grrrr When I worked in a pharmacy even the drug users could pick and choose the size of the needles, anything they needed, they could have I can imagine what they would say if I said' oh btw, you can only have ! 1/2 blue now'
 
My thoughts on this is that its probably the needle thickness that has changed and not the screw on psrt of thepplastic housing that
 
Some surgery computer systems are automatically issueing
a cheaper product .
This was the case at 'my' own surgery .

Had to pop in and ask them nicely to put my usual
preference back onto my repeated scripts.
They did this for me and also apologised too .

It was a blip I could well do without having to rectify/sort out .
Automated system using much cheaper and different products
replacing my usual and familiar needles,lancets,test strips .

spoke to the senior practice nurse adn the diabetes nurse. Seems that another company took over the practice and made a blanket change.

Two quick conversation, back to normal again.
