Blue light in my vision!

After analysing myself I have found the cause of the blue light thingy...water retention before my period! According to some research water retention can affect the fluid in the back of the eye and put pressure on it and it makes you see a pin prick of blue in your vision. Don't ask me how as I am pretty thick! Nice to know it is nothing more than this. Juxx

I have these blue squares of light flash in the right side of my right eye, always around my period for 5 years but recently noticed more outside of the monthly cycle.

As this thread is from years ago do you have any updates about the cause?
