Blue numbers in posts

Looking back at my posts, most of them show brackets, numbers in blue and script saying emoji. Since this is not how I’ve written anything, I am wondering what is going on. Does anyone else have this issue?

Moderators have noticed that there seems to be an increase in posts where numbers are appearing as emojis and making posts difficult to read, we appreciate this must be frustrating for the poster and those trying to interpret the post.

This is more than likely that the poster is using the DCUK app to post, unfortunately both the android & IOS apps are out of date and in the process of being updated so not all the functions work as they should.

We advise that you use your browser to post anything on the forum rather than the apps. Below is the latest information on the app...

Also if you use Tapatalk it sometimes creates this problem that is outside the forum control

The best way to use the forum to post threads & replies is through a browser

Thank you so much for getting back to me. I followed the link and read that it was a problem highlighted a couple of years ago. Surprised that it’s not been resolved in the interim but then they did suggest using a browser, as did you. Anyway, your suggestions are greatly appreciated.
