blurred vision

I was diagnosed a week ago today and since then I've noticed my eyesight weakening and becoming blurred. Sometimes my sight will be fine but sometimes it is awful. Is this a natural reaction to changing glucose levels or could it be more serious?

You should see your doctor who should have already sent your details off for a referral for eye screening. But, just in case he is dragging his heels a bit, you might gee him up.

Many of us wonder if ailments that we'd normally not even think about are due to diabetes. Most of them are nothing to do with it. It does affect your eyes but it's not that quick, but of course, you may have had a problem for a long time undignosed. Don't ignore it, tell the doctor, but also, don't panic because it can be due to many things. Even something as simple as dehydration can cause blurry vision and, if you have been going to the loo a lot, you may not have been drinking enough water to compensate. Getting it checked out is worth the peace of mind.
 
Same problem when I was diagnosed.
Turned out it mad my body starting to retain fluid again after using it to flush as much sugar as possible.

I did check with my dns first though. :)
