Although i have reading glasses i dont usually feel the need to wear them and my vision is pretty good. However on occaisions by eyes are very blurry and i cant see a thing on my PC or written down. I am type 2 and wondered if this happens to anyone else with the same thing?

High blood glucose can make the lens of the eye swell, which in turns leads to blurred vision, so do check your bg levels when you next expedience it.

Hi,
The only time it has happened to me, it was when I had my HbA1c test, and my BG shot up and down really fast. My eyesight was b*gg*r*d for about 36 hours. Blurry.

Unfortunately, I found out I needed glasses around the time I was diagnosed. Convinced it was due to blood sugar issues, I would test, but I quickly learnt that even when my levels were fine, I still got blurred vision. I have realised that I only get it in the evening, when my eyes are tired, so while I know that high blood sugar makes it worse, I don't think it is always the sole cause. I think some people can still suffer this problem without diabetes too.
