Blurry eyesight as sugars reduce?

Hi
I was wondering if I should start to worry or whether this is just a side effect of my body beginning to get used to normal sugar levels?
I have been low carb again for 2 weeks and yesterday I noticed that I was struggling to do anything paper based, found it hard to focus and it was blurry. I had my opticians appointment a few weeks ago and all was well.
My sugar levels are now lower than 8 all the time, which is low for me, but mainly between 5-7 and I feel great apart from the eyesight problem.
I know I could call the doctor but I wondered if anyone else had experienced this?

All the time @purplepenguin . Its when sugar levels are changing. Metformin users see it a lot.

No pun intended..,

Seriously, the eyes adjust to what they adjust to..? So as you start to stabalise, BS wise you may find the vision telling porky pies. For a while..

You get my drift.. Just noticed what I was typing & felt "poetic." :D

The usual effect when blood sugar is reducing is to become more long sighted, ie trouble reading, using a computer screen etc.

For most the effect will wear off within 4-6 weeks if the level remains down.

Buy a ready-reader from a pound shop to wear temporarily for reading. Over the time you may need a couple of different strengths.

Eyesight generally settles down back to the same as before or slightly different, although a few may experience a more significant permanent change.

I'm suffering this too, it started about a week after I began cutting carbs. I've had to go up a couple of strengths. My small print reading glasses are now not strong enough so I bought some readers from Asda for £5 and saw some in Home Bargains for £2. Its been a long 3 weeks. Good luck.
