BM rise after drinking Jack Honey.

Has anyone else experienced a rise in their BM's after consuming Jack Daniels Honey?
I am unsure to how many units of novorapid to take when I consume this drink or others like it. I don't have the BM increase when I drink other versions of whiskey.
 
I would be extremely careful when injecting insulin to cover spirits like whisky, alcohol can also have a lowering effect on bg levels and this can be the case for the following 24 hours after drinking, you should speak to your diabetes team about drinking alcohol and staying safe.
 
I have spoken to my diabetic team when I enquired with them about this. I don't need to take extra insulin with other forms of alcohol only the various versions with the addition of honey, I fact I take less.
