Hello, I've been trying to do bodybuilding on and off for the last year or so and have started taking it properly recently.
i've had diabetes since i was 2 my control isn't great but i am due to go on a course called 'BHITE' any advice on bodybuilding and diabetes would be much appreciated.
like what foods to eat supplements and vitamins as of course knowledge is power!

Hi, I am type 2, I too have started to body build, here is what I do, My daily meals contain 50% protein, 30% complex carbs, and 20% good fats for a rough idea. I try to keep my daily calorie intake to less than 2400 calories, my fats are in the form of butter, almond oil and coconut oil for cooking, nuts, and avocados, my carbs are in the form of non-white flour carbs and veggies , very , very little fruit til I get to my weight goal, my protein is mainly chicken with some beef. I do take a protein isolate within 30 minutes of my workout, and I take caesin protein before bed. I try to keep my protein intake to 1 gram of protein for every pound of body weight. I also use bodybuilding.com as a resourse. I hope it helps

I would look into a book by Timothy Ferriss: 4hour body http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/00...um=txt&utm_campaign=appsig]Diabetes Forum App

Hi there bswain6,
Great you're into keeping fit!
Could you give more info about the course you're doing - I can't seem to find reference to it anywhere.
