I am about to start a low carb/keto diet, and although I have watched lots of videos, for the actual cooking I prefer a book - and that's where the fun starts as there are so many!
And most of them seem to have been originally written for the American market
So please, can you recommend any books on keto/low carb diets?
Ideally they should -

Have an explanation or introduction
Be easy to follow with fairly simple recipes
Have some nice illustrations - page after page of black text gets a bit overwhelming
Be written for the UK
Not have too many expensive or exotic ingredients

These will suit you exactly.
All the recipes are online as well as available in books.
Written by an English family
They also have an on line shop which sells ingredients and finished products

Dr Michael Mosley's books have really good recipes in the back. Think his wife Dr Clair Mosley has a recipe book out.

I bought the fast 800 recipe book with some lovely recipes. It is written by Dr Clare Bailey (wife of Dr Michael Moseley) and Justine Pattison. I also bought Glucose Revolution by Jessie Inchauspe, as recommended by my doctor. One of the most important things I learnt was to eat foods in the right order. Veg/salad first, fats and protein second and finally carbs. Eating carbs last greatly slows down the speed at which glucose hits the bloodstream thereby flattening the glucose spike.
