I feel so bad but I had no other choiceI've come to stay at my parents tonight, as my boyfriend has a bug and has been throwing up all evening. He insisted I go so I don't catch it. (When I've had bugs in the past it's always resulted in me being on a drip in hospital for a week) I still feel so so bad though :-(((( ah did I do the right thing
I am sure no one thinks you have abandoned him, tbh, there is not a lot anyone can do when a person is ill, he is probably so tired out now and will want to try and get some sleep. Keep in touch and hopefully he will be better very soon, so you can be back together again and fingers crossed you won't get the bug that is going round.
You may have to stay at your parents for more than one night. Some of these bugs can survive on surfaces such as door handles for days.
Can I recommend that you do a bit of research and find out what cleaning agents are best used, and then when you move back home you go armed with the right surface cleaners?
We have started to do a thing and we laughingly refer to it as Full On Virus Protocol (Mr B works in a job that makes him encounter many germ laden members of the public). As soon as he shows the signs of any vile lurgy, I ban him from the kitchen, and we wipe down door handles and bathroom fixtures. He doesn't touch the kettle or the fridge.
Works like a charm. Don't think I have caught anything from him since we started doing it a couple of years ago.
Sorry if that sounds a bit OCD. I think it is a but myself. But then... it woz the noro virus that started us doing this - and I NEVER want to experience THAT again.

My fiancé left me when I told her I had cancer and left me to go it alone. She told me years later that she felt guilty for years after.
Guilt is not a good thing to carry around.
It is better to find out this early in the beginning stage, then encounter the same situation later, deeply in marriage with a bunch of kids. I am sure that will hurt much more after you laid a half of your life for a person. People like that do not deserve even a mention. I hope you are cured now and have a person around who knows what integrity is.My fiancé left me when I told her I had cancer and left me to go it alone. He clearly wanted you to stay, despite sending you away. That how selfish we areBut you did the right thing for you. He will get over this bug in no time.
My wife (then girlfriend.) & I were stuck in an Indian hotel with "deli belly". I held a trash can while she was projectile vomiting into it.
Now that's good ol fashioned romance...
Keep your hands clean & you can't go wrong!
Don't feel bad - feel good that he cares about you and is thinking about your health
