Have to admit that in my pre-pre-diabetes days I was a major fan of Bratwurst. Browsing in Sainsburys today I see that they're 0.8g carbs per sausage, so I bought a pack. Are these ok as far as pre/diabetics are concerned? (I know the fat's a bit high)
I'm a big fan of Lidl's bratwurst at around 99% meat. Sainsbury's is OK, but a bit bland.
The saturated fat is not (in my view) really high enough. I suspect they are using fairly lean meat. For anyone who is still at all anxious about saturated fat, this is essential reading:
