Hi there,
i have been testing and testing loads, before lunch i was 5.2. Then i had 2 slices of bread with cheese on toasted, was the Burgen Soya and linseed bread. After 2 hours i was 5.2. Normally after lunch i would be in the 7 plus range up to 9. So today i did exactly the same, was 5.2 pre food, had the same 2 slices of bread, this time i tested 1 hour and 15 afterwards i was 3.9! So now waiting for the 2 hour mark. How can that be thought i should be going up. does that mean that the bread is ok for me, or just had not had time to spike, but confused as it went down not up! Any advice would be good. I am messing with my diet to try to get a better control, and wanted to see what foods do what. The funny thing is i never normally have 2 slices of bread ever but have been really hungry lately.
Type 2 1500 metformin a day.

Hi test 2 hours after and i was 6. So does that mean that the bread is ok just in smaller amounts. Plus when should you test 2 hours after food or less.

The fat and the fibre i think gets digested first. if i have 1 slice i shoot high then come down slowly. but if i add cheese or ham i go down first hour and up the second. im sure its the fat that causes it. try two pieces on its own lol i did that once and hit a ten in45 mins
