So far today, breakfast fruit, lunch homemade veggie soup with livlife bread 2 slices bought the new bread to try this morning, the norm for me is a medium while bread roll.....with my soup..
Goodness where have I gone wrong....I went with my husband for my 4 mile walk, I was a mess sweating, speech slurred, blurred vision etc....needed some looking after....it seems the bread my not of been enough carbs for me when I went walking....does this make sense to anyone.....thoughts welcome.... Thank you Kat t2 med low carb...

Did you take any readings. Last Saturday I went for a 3 mile walk and came home to a reading of 3.4.

Without readings it is difficult to know whether it was the sugar or something else.

Typical white bread roll (tesco) = 30.8g carb
2 x slices of livlife bread = under 8g carbs

Thats quite a difference although its rare for T2 on just Metformin to suffer hypo symptoms with a reduction of 20 or so less carbs in a meal. Possibly the exercise if it was out of the ordinary or a longer more tiring walk than normal. Have you been feeling generally OK?

As Squire said meter readings may have told a story perhaps you have been running high numbers and it was a false hypo or perhaps it was just something else entirely, not everything is down to diabetes although sometimes it can seem like it is :)

I wouldnt be too concerned if it was just a one off but if it happens again then perhaps make an appointment to discuss it with your GP

Hi thank you so much for your replys...
I have good gp support with the last hba1c readings of 6.5 have been advised not to go lower because hypo,s will happen.... I know I go low because when I was in hospital they were 5 and once 3 they tested in hospital.
My practice does not really support t2 testing....have been given fair rational reasons...I am not unhappy with that....due another hba1c test soon every 12 weeks see gp and dietitein to keep me going....will give the bread a bit more of a go, I do have chronic fatigue, so maybe the walk etc does make me push myself..... Thank you for your ideas, Kat
