?..have learned this week after joining that am a bit lost as to what to eat for breakfast small amount of cerial shoots my bg levels into 12s/13s but it's the with any brown seeded! bread what on earth can I eat to keep bg levels under control with no more bread???
thank Patrick I have had diabetes for almost 2yrs but got no help at all with the do.'s & don't.'s of wot to eat. have been left high & dry can't eat cerials or any bread at a loss of wot I cud eat at breakfast cud you let me have a few tips of your breakfas please haven't got a clue HELP hillsrockét7
No I'm not my son is 12 and I had GD when I was pregnant with him but my blood sugar went back to normal. Found out I had type 2 almost 3 months ago, I'm due my 3 month review on Monday xxx

I have a cup of unsweetened cocoa made with semi skimmed milk and organic cocoa powder. I also have two oatcakes and yes my reading two hours after is high. I also repeated this for lunch yesterday and the reading was even higher!
There are many wonderful breads to try. Linseed, wholewheat, rye, millet ..... You want ones free from "junk" like additives
I thought no carbohydrates meant you are prone to developing the condition beginning with "K ..... " Are you suggesting I cut out the miserable two oatcakes I have per meal? No! lol
(I am talking anyway about quality home/freshly baked bread together with some fat and protein)
