Breakfast so difficult

I find breakfast such a difficult meal I am never really hungry in the mornings......

If you arent really hungry in the mornings then why not try a light breakfast like half a grapefruit.

Its what I ate for 6 or 7 months when I was dieting hard and I still eat it now a couple of times a week or so as like you I never feel really hungry in the mornings. Try it you may be surprised.

I cut a grapefruit in half and put both halves in bowls in the fridge covered with cling film then in the morning I eat one and eat the other half for breakfast the next day.

Why force yourself to eat a large or heavy breakfast if you are not hungry.

I think Annie said she was on statins so grapefruit may be off the menu.

I thought that too, but she could have an apple or an orange instead maybe

One day, for breakfast, before I die:

Easy on the stomache, heavy on the wallet.

Boil an egg or two and mash with chopped tomato, mayo and salad cream. Loads of black pepper. Serve on your Burgen bread.

I had an omlette of smoked trout for tea tonight, I can't afford salmon this week

The smoked farmed salmon is reasonably priced thesedays, but it's not a patch on smoked wild salmon which is sadly too expensive. My favourite shop for smoked fish, the Port of Lancaster Smokehouse but, depending on what they have in on the day, the Meat and Fish Hall in Bury market is very hard to beat.

As for me, I don't eat breakfast. I know that it can be harmful! It's because i don't feel hungry, so why should i force myself?

Bolton market Fish Hall is good too!
(I use Bury & Bolton)
Slight rant.
Although I live by the sea we have a fish shop the size of a cardboard box displaying unending varieties of mud-coloured flat fish, pale fatty farmed salmon, crab meat at £3 a little pot, a freezerful of squid and some semi-conscious lobsters. The sea bass, monkfish, cod, scallops and even the mackerel disappear to the restaurants and hotels where I can have the privilege of paying a 300 per cent mark-up, or more, for a button-sized portion with an egg cup of veg.
End of rant.
It's my fault for not having a fishing rod, of course.
PS Kippers are great for breakfast.

Maybe because of the bit I've emboldened in the quote? I don't eat much for breakfast, but I always have something because otherwise it messes up my BG

im trying to stay off bread not doing me any good ..i like porridge with blueberries or strawberrys.never used to like blueberries but love them

You can blend nuts and seeds with vanilla extract, milk, cinnamon, and stevia in a blender until creamy. Grain-free porridge. Top with berries.

Two rashers of grilled, lean back bacon and a poached egg on a small slice of pumpkin or walnut bread toasted...divine!

Ring the changes with a few mushrooms or half a tomato, grilled, or a few baked beans...

Yum! Is it breakfast time yet?
