My BG rises in the morning even without breakfast (foot on the floor effect), can it be you're looking at something like that rather than a breakfast rise?
Even without breakfast we still get the liver dump of glucose, eating as soon as you wake tricks the liver into stopping the dump early on, the longer you leave food the more of a rise you can get.Normally I eat after 30-45 mins after getting out of bed , maybe you’re right it could be that instead of the food , I think I might try giving breakfast a miss for next few day , thanks for that much appreciated
I go through periods of this, best action I can take when suffering a glucose dump is to eat upon waking, generally 2 big spoons of plain greek yoghurt and a small bolus, eating tricks my liver into stopping the dump, but a bolus too corrects the rise.

I inject for Foot on the Floor before getting out of bed and I don't do breakfast except a small splash of milk in my coffee.Even without breakfast we still get the liver dump of glucose, eating as soon as you wake tricks the liver into stopping the dump early on, the longer you leave food the more of a rise you can get.
May I ask how long these dump last , as for me it’s been like this for last few months
Sadly how long is a piece of string, there's no answers to this, just also worth mentioning to your diabetic team too, it's a possible criteria for pump access.
How long have you been diagnosed and what insulins are you using ?Well I be honest I ain’t had no diabetic team since I been diagnosed, only last week my doctor agreed to send me to an diabetic consultant after my last blood came at about 84 , every thing I have learned is from reading this forum
