Just heard on the radio, 6pm news.................. Australia have been invited to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest. Apparently the Australians like it so much, they have been given automatic entry into the final, but it's still Eurovison :wideyed::wacky::p

Is this what Philip agreed in return for his knighthood?

Seriously RRB, wonder if we'd get any votes from our friends down under ;)

Well if Israel and other countries that are technically not in Europe compete then why not ? :)

Yep, we love Eurovision because it is SOOO out there :) Bizarre would be the right word :)

I loved the way each country would vote for another closely aligned country regardless of the song .... no sign of bias

Then they'd ignore obvious talent because of politics. I hope we don't participate ...... :)

Just thought I'd share with you one of the MOST horrific moments of Eurovision. Made me nauseous. Still does :)

Whoa, as soon as said the word planet he got rousing applause :wideyed: what has dad da dam got to do with saving the plant ( ran iof words I think), don't remember that one Mike lol :wacky:
Any other really bonkers ones or just plain weird.? I do remember the Russian grannies, a couple of years ago  :wideyed:

When I first came here, hubs told me I had to see the contest just once. Now I'm hooked on all its bizarre magnificence. :D

On the radio this morning the male presenter said Australia in the Eurovision Song Contest was not right at all..........................unless it included some of Australia's musicians, which were Kylie, Jason, Inxs ( but no Michael Hutchings) Holly Valance, Nick Farnham, Rick Springfield and a group, but I can't remember the name of the group. The prsenter thought that was a good deal  now that would be something lol
