With the results we woke up to - does anyone know if will this have any effect on the care T1 children get in England?

That's exactly what I had just posted about - I was under the assumption that this will mean more money for the nhs but I may be wrong

In what way could it mean more money? Do you mean if there's a change of government/general election?

The Leave camp have been using "we could build a new hospital every week with the money we send to the EU" as one of their campaign messages - many people have missed the fact it is COULD and believe there will suddenly be more money spent on the NHS. Fact is the government are already underfunding the NHS and that is highly unlikely to change. And even if the money we send to the EU was put into the NHS it's not enough to make any significant difference

Lol they can build as many hospitals as they like but where do they get the staff from?

Can you really see an ultra right wing government increasing NHS spend?
It'll be for tax cuts to the rich, and selling the NHS to American health care providers.

We're not going to see a sudden switch to ultra socialist policies from Johnson, and Farage won't suddenly be PM.

The amount the UK contributed to the EU was tiny as a proportion of the UK spending. If the UK government couldn't spare extra cash from all the other areas it spent far more on than our EU contribution, I doubt it'll suddenly chuck money at the NHS now.

The financial uncertainty is worrying - in all areas.

Some people are rejoicing and some are gravely disappointed. Whatever it is, I hope the NHS will not abandon diabetic care.
