Except when your metabolism is screwed and doesn't work like it should maybe...and when fewer calories leads to BMR slowdown making it even harder to lose weight.
Would you agree that there are people who are outliers when it comes to Calories in, Calories out?
The law of thermodynamics (first put forward as a theory in the 19th century, I beleive, then updated in tne 1930s) just doesn't add up. Firstly because the maths doesn't fit and secondly because fats and carbs are metabolised in different ways.
I wonder what NHS data that was? For most of my adult life I didn't need to go to the doctors and I certainly didn't have any blood tests. They generally only collect data from people who have medical problems.
More the conservation of energy isn't it?
Or perhaps the 2nd law of thermodynamics
The human body is not an exception to the First Law of Thermodynamics which concerns the conservation of energy. However, critically, the law states that it applies to an isolated system. So unless you are in a vacuum with all inputs and outputs measured it is clearly inaccurate to measure your net energy gain just by subtracting a guess of your energy output from the calories in the food you eat.
Round Two starts in just over half an hour! I'm so excited I'm quivering. I'll be watching it in real-time tonight.
Not sure it will help me get through a mini 'fast' I'm doing, because no doubt there will be indecent images of all my favourite junk foods, but I will do my best to remain strong.

Ours has closed down. Not enough chocolate discount. He heI don’t shop there very often, but I have noticed in recent years that not only do they have confectionary near the checkouts, but the cashier often asks if you want a chocolate bar 1/2 price today? I’ve always assumed they are selling off something near it’s sell by date. I haven’t had it happen since my diagnosis, so I’m not sure what I’d say these days?
