last Saturday I broke my wrist. I had a back slab put on. By next day, whole thing very loose so back up A&E for new one. On Monday, full cast. By Tuesday very loose. Back up A&E and assured that this was the norm. In such pain Wednesday, that contacted doc for pain killers. Within 2 hours felt very dizzy and sick. Rang doc and asked for different ones. Was told not necessary and to reduce quantity. Assured this would work but didn't. Very sick and dizzy. Got new ones next day and asked nurse about cast. Said too loose and told to ring plaster room. They told me to come in next morning. Replaster d and immediately said it felt loose. Told fine. Lots of movement by Friday afternoon and pins and needles all day Saturday. Woke up in early hours and whole arm ached and couldn't sleep. Finally fell asleep at 5am. Arm achy all day and now swelling. Started with pins and needles again. Waste of time going up hospital as will be told to ring plaster room in morning. Was able to slide cast down to knuckles earlier today and could get whole hand in at top of plaster. Signed off work for 2 weeks and work less than impressed. Fed up!
