Every time I inject my insulin I develop a bruise - whether it is the 30 units of levemir or right down to 5 of novorapid. At least it helps me keep track of where to inject next! I can generally tell how many days ago i used each site due to the colour of the bruise. Just wonder if anyone else has had this happen and does it continue?

I used to get that a lot until I went to GP and changed to a different size of needles.

A few tips I found useful was to use the smallest needle available (which is 4mm) and to use a new needle with each injection, when you administer the insulin don't inject it too fast as this can cause some bruising from my own experience.

it's ultra fine 4mm needles I have. I bruise very easily in general too.
