Yesterday before Supper my BS was 4.7 & 2 hours after was 5.6.
However did another check @ 22:00, some 5 hours after Supper & reading was 7.2.
Is this a normal increase?

How much wine? Wine has a lowering effect whilst the liver is busy processing the alcohol. This might explain why you were fairly low at 2 hours, and once the alcohol was out of your system, the food started to have an effect.

There is also a lot of fat and carbs in a steak and kidney pud, so the peak could have happened later, similar to the pizza effect.

according to Carbs & Cals
182g steak and kidney pudding
34g carbs
20g protein
20g fat
2g fibre
