I suggest you do some reading on the new research that has been emerging on the (lack of) connection between dietary fat and cholesterol levels.
There are some articles on the bloodsugar101 website (see link in my signature) which explain things clearly.
You will also find MANY members of this forum who have found that their blood cholesterol levels fall after changing their diet to avoid low fat foods, while increasing things like butter, cream, cheese, fats and oils.
I realise that this contradicts 'conventional wisdom' and often contradicts doctors' dietary advice - but that just demonstrates how little dietary knowledge the average doc has!
