The past couple of weeks I've been fairly consistent in my diet, and actually have been to the gym twice this week, but my blood sugar actually seems to have increased a bit on average... I was previously getting around 5.2 - 5.7 in the morning but now it's consistently over 6, and in fact the day after my last workout it was 6.9, the highest I've seen for a couple of months. I've had a couple of minor slip ups but I'm typically getting under 50g of carbs a day, with only one day where I had about 120... I guess I need to go lower carb still?

If you are still eating high carb from time to time, and have only been eating lowish carb for a few weeks you will not have done a lot to assure your metabolism that you are serious about a new way of eating.
Do try to be more consistent in your daily carb intake and you could even try eating just a few less carbs. That should - if what I saw is anything to go by, result in your readings at all times of the day drifting downwards as time goes by.

Have you started a new pot of test strips or anything NatJS? There can be variations in those sometimes.

I think it might depend on what you are doing at the gym. Some people (like me) find that strenuous exercise causes bg to rise. Gentle exercise lowers it.

I've been low car

Oh! Yes actually! That must explain it. I didn't realise there would be variation between different pots. Who knew!

Pots are usually pretty consistent, but you can have a pot that varies a bit. It's marginally ore likely from a different batch. so from a different order or prescription. Keep an eye on it when you change pots again.
