BS readings

Today I had venison casserole with 2 roast potatoes and half roasted sweet potato so it was with some trepidation that I tested - 5.4 pre dinner, 7.2 two hours later and 6.5 after 3 hours so it looks as though I may be ok with this.
 
6.0 last night 2 hours post dinner and after 25 long laps ... and again, the effect on BS this morning with a great 5.1

That you do It's now a good downward trend but no taking my foot off the gas.

As for that 2nd matter, have cut back substantially and still challenging myself
 
Mike does this mean that you have not quite stopped? Yet..............
Correct ... have been concentrating on lowering the readings and if I keep getting those figures, then back to the other bad habit.

But down to about 5 a day. Have to keep at it

HI Mike,
@ 40yrs I decided to stop (20 to 30 a day), took till 50th to stop, then 10 years on nicotine gum, 60th stopped the gum, although still chew normal gum.

It's hard, but as soon as I did it, I wondered why it had been so hard.

A good and kind member sent me a book on the topic of quitting and I'm still wading thru it but it is SOOO true. You just don't need them.

6.7 BED 1.40am this morning.
6.0 Fasting Breakfast, forgot again, started breakfast so not a true reading.
No breakfast testing not required
Pre Lunch No Testing
7.3 2hrs 3 Pints Beer
4.6 Pre Dinner
4.8 1hr Skirt Beef 2 sm Roasts, Lrg Cauli, French Beans
5.5 2hrs Glass 1 1/2 wine
5.7 3hrs
All OK to say what I have done to day, and my weight has just started to move again.

8.5 after breakfast - my breakfast is tried and tested.. so it must be my liver grrrrrr
 
Fasting 6.3
Post breakfast 6.7 included a very thick slice spelt bread - I'm becoming more comfortable including this every so often as readings don't go off the scale and it had had some beneficial benefits because of all the fibre.
 
Pre lunch 5.7 ( only 20 minutes after 2hr reading so something is working to bring me down)
Post lunch 4.3

Post breakfast/pre lunch 5.2
Post lunch 6.6 ( carby soup and a hot sausage from deli with soy latte so bit of a pig out)
