BS readings

My batch 44 readings so far today.

Fasting - a wide selection between 6.1 and 7.4
Brekkie was 100g FF yogurt, 50g raspberries, flaxseed, cup of tea dash of milk. Same every day.
brekkie + 1 hr 6.8
brekkie + 2hrs 6.5
before lunch 6.2 (accu chek 5.6)
lunch +1hr 6.8

Normal mornings I would expect
fasting 5.5
1hr after brekkie 6.8
2hrs after brekkie 6.5
before lunch 5.6
lunch +1hr 6.4

This batch seems fine if levels are in the 6's. It is not fine if levels are in the 5's.

I'm finding very much the same thing. My levels apart from fasting were usually in high 4s low fives pre meals and mid fives after - with batch 44 I can be in the sevens fasting and in high sixes post meals. Sometimes they are within about .3mMol/l of my other batches but more often they are way out. Typical to get this batch after I've stopped the Metformin as it is making it hard to see what is the effect of that. I've three lots left and not enough of my otter batches to do matches with so I suspect I'm going to order some new pots soon and just use the 44 lot up as and when.
 
Have been a tad naughty today - decided to go with a colleague to the canteen for lunch and, whilst I usually have a salad, decided to have the beef and noodles in black bean sauce. Then this afternoon somebody brought some homemade chocolate cake in and one, albeit small, piece kept saying eat me - so I did! This was at 15.30. I don't take my meter to work so when I got home at 17.15 I tested my BS with some intrepitation and it was 5.5 - I tested again at 18.00 and it was 5.0 so not sure what happened as I thought it would be higher! In retribution I had an omelette and salad for tea to make up for it and my BS is now 6.2 after 1 hour.

FBG (5:40am in bed): 4.6
B: 1min Flax bun, goats cheese, tomato and pepperoni. 1 small cup of coffee with 100ml lactofree milk and 1 tablet sweetener. divided in two.
BG: 5.2 (two hours after first half)
BG: 4.8 (two hours after the second half with no coffee)
S: Cup of coffee with 2 teaspoons of double cream.
BG Before lunch: 4.8
L: Pan fried salmon. Salad: lettuce, avocado, cucumber, mayo, olive oil and apple cider vinegar.
BG after lunch: 4.9
BG before snacking: 4.9
S: 3 strawberries, 2 dairylea cheese triangles, a bunch of almonds
BG after snacking pre workout: 5.3
BG after workout: 5
BG before dinner: 5
D: Pan fried chicken and sauteed mushrooms with cream cheese and parsley.
S: ... to be decided...
 
These days I can do a few noodles, but if I'm of my own, I usually just serve with shredded lettuce with some of the (unused) marinade as a dressing.

It's delicious and very simple.

Have you got sore fingers with all that testing? I very often have to use 2-3 fingers as my blood doesn't like coming out - in fact some times I've given up

I didn't like going shaky and too low after exercise on the first day, so needed to check before and after that, plus I included the snack before the training (and needed to check that). I am trying to more or less follow Bernsteins' recommendations and therefore making lots of readings, 4.6 as a constant is my goal. I have the feeling it its achievable.

5.6 before breakfast
Breakfast of eggs and bacon and a green smoothie. Cycled to work.
At work 5.0
Mid morning 5.3
 
Before lunch (batch 44) was 6.4 (normally low 5's)
2hrs after lunch (batch 44) was 7.3
2hrs after lunch (new batch 61) was 6.3 (about right)

I only had an egg and tom salad with a cup of tea!
