Never tried it yet......not sure if I could! I do now have double cream in my coffee first thing and it certainly "fills" more !
 
Some fantastic readings from everybody. It's so good to see such success and that you are enjoying your foods too.
I love cooking and baking and it just makes the effort double rewarding to know it's so good for bloods too! I get a real buzz from knowing that when I see others having bad food choices.

Well done, such a brilliant posting to read on a daily basis...
 
I'm 6 weeks since diagnosis at 13.9 h1c and 5 weeks into LCHF.
I've lost almost a stone (with a stone and half to go) and I'm carefully counting carbs as well as calories. I'm trying to stay under 50 g carbs and 1,200 cals. My fasting BS is now around 8 and then 7s throughout the day.

I can't seem to get lower than 7s. Am I trying to achieve too much too fast? Will BS come down further with more weight loss?

My 3 month review is mid December and the doc has given me until then on metformin rather than insulin which I really want to avoid. Will 7s be enough to avoid insulin? Any suggestions advice gratefully received. Love this thread- find it keeps me motivated!
 

I would hope that your Gp's would wait before moving you on to insulin. Your levels have improved tremendously, and because you have done them gradually your eyes will benefit from not having great changes made. Your weightloss in 6 weeks is fantastic. Have you upped your exercise at all? Introducing even leg exercises whilst sat down (I have a mini sitting down cycle to do this) is another great way to lower levels and so improve leg tone whilst researching or watching news etc, and of course they will be lowering bloods before bed,,
 

I suspect your GP will be sufficiently gobsmacked to forget he ever suggested it ...
 
I've upped my exercise and walk for an hour at least three times a week... And enjoying it now I feel like I have more energy!

Will keep going and post when I get some 6s!!
 
6.2 this morning so poached eggs bacon and cheese and will test in an hour.
