BS readings

as 20 I'd be seeing the dr now for meds and wouldn't mess about, you can reduce or get off them later.... but...
can I suggest you go hard core for a fortnight, your morning may still be high but if your pre tea level isn't good, you will need meds
no grain, grain product, no potato, corn, no fruit or sugary stuff
eat nonstarch veg, meats fish real butter..anything with no carbs

google atkins induction food list
Thanks Jack,
I will make an appointment to see my doctor tomorrow and take your advise regarding no carbs. I will let you let the outcome. Thank you once again.

I wasn't expecting that, no one listens to me about taking drugs and is why I said about the 2 week hard core :)
if you get meds, you don't need to hard core the diet as much, the atkins 20g of carb a day is hard work, 50g is a lot easier and up to 100 I think is still low carb, but some sensitive people will still put on weight at 100g carb

Thankyou for kind thoughts. I'm feeling better today. Pain eased a bit :)

Allie, it occurred to me to ask - do your pain flare ups have any connection to diet?

I only ask because you have just upped your coffee intake significantly. Could this be linked?

Morning@Ally. Sorry to see you got a 13 today. Esp since you had great before and after your tea....did you eat anything after your tea to make you go high? You said you were up much earlier today. But I would have thought an earlier testing of fasting would be lower

Hi everyone- fell off the carb wagon for the first time yesterday (**** the kids trick or treat sweets) hated myself afterwards, BS went into double figures and I woke up exhausted this morning for the first time in ages.

Been for a brisk walk before breakfast and back to 7.2.

Start again....

Oh dear. Never mind. Today is a whole new day.

Don't be too hard on yourself. At least now you know how it feels, and that's probably a bit of a disincentive when temptation rears her ugly head again. See? There's always a silver lining, if you look hard enough. ;)
