BS readings

not feeling too good. tested during the night and levels ranged between 17 and 19.8

my BS readings first thing in the mornings are still high of around 13
over the past 3 days pre lunch and pre tea have been around 8.1 and 2 hours later around 11.1
these are so much lower then they have been
No need to worry about what the reading is after 2 hours as it all depend on how effective your quick acting insulin is. For me novorapid doesn't start working until after 31/2 hours. I used to do 2 hour testing and even correcting...WRONG... as I then used to hypo later in the day due to stacking. Did DAFNE who suggest 4 hour testing. I am very insulin resistant so much about 2 hour testing DEPENDS on how your insulin is working on you.

pre breakfast 13.6 post 12.1
its slowly coming down
i rang the surgery, either the diabetic nurse or gp is going to phone me as no appointments

Hi Ally
You posted your readings at 7.48PM I dont know if they were after 2 hours but if they were you actually must have had your tea at around 5.30pm, did you stay hungry all the way from 5.30 till this morning?

I'm amazed myself. From 6. To 19. From 7.45 to this morning. That is much more than a liver dump. Ally had no carbs for tea. Bacon and eggs. So no spike there....13 points of a spike is no liver dump? So hope she gets advice from Drs. Very worrying. If I hit 19 id be so ill. :(

a bit of a hefty 7.7 tonight post dinner- partially because I'd dropped to only 4.1 when we sat down to eat at the restaurant that then told us only doing pizzas so had to hall myself out and go somewhere else by which time I was shaking and could feel the inevitable dump. Usually I have a peddle after anything a bit off piste but so stuffed from Indians were we ended up so I'll have to hope it goes down of own accord.
