BS readings

4.3 vod assisted from yesterday evening, will take that. Have been increasing carb intake over the last few weeks, had been 30-40 g per day now upto 50g per day BG all in normal range. Long may it continue. Keep well everyone.
 
@ally1. Morning just a thought maybe you could ask about going on this new drug Forgazia. I'm on it and Kimbo too amoungst others. It brought my bg down even more and you lose weight on it? I asked my gp if I could go on it and he agreed

Its worth asking. Its helped me such a lot. Weight loss. Better readings. Its generic name is Gapagliflozin. But its called Forgazia. I know a few people on it. I've had no side effects.it brought my readings down in 2 weeks. I'm on 10 mg a day. Its worth asking your gp
 
Ally it's worth pushing your surgery for better health care and mentioning newer drugs that might help as I've found my surgery very often just plods along the predictable routes even when newer and more appropriate treatment is out there. When I caught salmonella from a local takeaway many years ago, I was still positive weeks later as was mr ethyl who couldn't work on the farm in case he contaminated milk supply and it wasn't until we kept moaning to our then GP that he asked a friend who was a research scientist and we got some new fangled antibiotic that had just been licensed which cleared it up. So it pays to keep at them.

5.5 2hrs after lunch... happy with that.. and it was glorious out.

5.1 fasting, 5.8 post and just done 2miles with the pooches over strensall common, it was more like a spring day

spoke to gp, he said i,m due for a blood test next month so wants to see what the results are before changing meds

Hi Bookmite, Is this Strensell Common near York, as a Kid I used play all round there, use to Cylcle with friends when 7ish to it from York, also used to milk the Gersey Cows that used to roam free round there, wasn't suppossed to. Live in St Neots Cambs. now, but have a brother in Appletree Villiage York and visit occasionally.

Hi Ally,

Well that's a start. Hopefully you will see in your results the great improvements you have made, and perhaps he will help you further by putting you on better medication. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you

Pre lunch was 5.8 after was 6.9. Had home made leek and cauliflower soup and brie cheese melted on top. Happy with that
Just tested and was 5.6. Having chicken and mushroom omlette and a crispy green greek salad with it. I won't test after as it hardly changes with this supper and have tested many times
Doing well. Bgs better despite bigger portions as I don't want to lose any more weight.. am finding the greek salad a welcome accompanyment with lemon juice and posh virgin olive oil. Red onions crisp romaine lettuce and crumbly feta is light and tasty and the extra fat stopping me lose any more. V happy right now
 
Fasting was 5.8 , i don't retest before breakfast as it rarely alters much unless i leave hours between the two. Then I didn't retest till after my lunch of some cheese, chicken slices and a decaff soya latte. 5.5. By home I was 4.7 and I was that predinner so I had a treat of 1 1/2 small potato croquettes. Will try and peddle but still feel bit ropey. Also feel a bit stir crazy as even though I've been out today, knowing I'm stuck in tonight is bugging me- I don't drive and Mr E can't sit too long, he says. I don't know whether it's anxiety or just not liking the long dark evenings.

i knew the before would be high because of the crisps
