BS readings

so 3.7 before dinner( strangely I felt ok but a bit snappy and I could sense my heart beating a bit faster)
5.7 at 1 1/2 hrs- took it early as had washed hands but forgot clock in kitchen is way fast.

One must remember to think what one is eating, just because it said fish does not mean it is just fish....................................I had fish cakes for tea forgeting the other main ingredient is potato, pre dinner 5.7, 2hrs after 13.8

That's the problem it a learning curve and even when you think you know you get a curve ball.

Onward and downward.

Have not tested much today was 6,0 fasting this morning and now 5,8 two hours after dinner.

Pavlos

Pre evening meal 4.6, 2hr after 6.8, evening meal was a large Omelette and some strawberries for afters.

5.1 Fasting Pre Breakfast
6.9 1hr
6.1 2hr
5.1 Pre Lunch
1hr missed
2hr missed
4.6 Pre Dinner Liver (pigs) Onions, Gravy, broccoli, swede buttered & peppered a lot.
7.6 1hr
6.2 2hr
Pleased overall

tested tonight before tea 5.8 (lowest it has been since coming home from hospital). Decided because it was fairly low that I would try out one of my favourite meals ...ocean pie (fillet of fish covered in mashed potato and sprinkled with cheese). As well as that I added 7 Buffalo Bites (cauliflower in batter) and finished off with a low fat Hazelnut yoghurt. I knew this was wrong and 2 hours later a reading of 11.0. Hey Ho, we all know what that means................ no more low fat yoghurt
Gonna have to walk all that off tomorrow and get back to 5.8 or less.

Errrrrr........ low fat yogurt is one thing, but mashed potato and battered cauli? Naughty boy.

Before tea 5.0
1hr after 8.5
1.5hrs after 8.2
2hrs after 6.0
2.5hrs after 5.2

I'll take that as it is Wednesday, our homemade meat and spud pie day. (no pastry for me). It was delicious.

5.7 TO 7.5 @ 2 Hours

That's after an avodaco and a spinach omelette breakfast ... no bacon.

Yet another frustrating reading

I had a Hollands meat and potato pie for tea, wasn't intending to eat the crust honestly or the 3 triangles of toblerone

6.5 before tea, 8.8 going to bed.

Ps....everyone needs bacon, but it must be smokey and grilled crispy

You need bacon !

Hi nuthead / Hi BT

Because I was trying to avoid the spikes I was getting when eating bacon.

Yesterday was 5.7 to 7.9 Day before 6.3 to 7.4 Day prior to that 6.1 to 7.4 all bacon omelette days

I'm trying my hardest to work out why something as inooccuous as a omellete with spinach and an avocado would give me such a rise.

It's so tempting once it's in front of you on the plate, can be so frustrating, co's you then hope the numbers aren't going to be what you know they will be, it's not a surprise though!

Cheers Neil, I consider it a victory when I didn't eat the whole bar...milk chocolate was my biggest weakness, and is the...or was the thing I miss.

Hi book mite I know exactly how you feel. For most people it's every hard to envisage a life without certain types of foods. The odd biscuit or cake, a few chips or chocolate. I think that as long as we are good most of the time, these odd slips do us no harm in the long run.
