what did i eat........

wholewheat fusilli 100g dry weight cooked cooled and reheated
150g lean minced steak
100g passata
30g dry fried button mushrooms
30g seriously strong cheddar cheese

I seems to have hit a brick wall with the weightloss... think I am at last going to have to start counting calories if I can. Was hoping that on a LCHF diet I wouldn't have to...but I have stayed the same for 3 weeks now :(

Nuts, cheese, butter all very high in calories. I do think for those of us who were/are very overweight some sort of calorie as well as carb restriction is needed initially. Eat freely is a dangerous phrase if you are used to huge amounts of carbs and then replace them with fat!!

I entirely agree. So easy to overdo the fat elements without counting calories as well as carbs. I still have to do it now in order not to lose any more .... but trying to increase them rather than decrease them. Amazing what a chunk of cheese can achieve.
 
Fasting 6.1, post 6.6 . And what a hearty breakfast it was :-) I stopped the metformin last night due to continued nausea, and guess what...I'm feeling good today, bouncy in fact :-) I'll be seeing my GP later in the week.
 
Pre lunch was 4.7
After 2 hours 4.7. Result! Lunch was 2 egg salad with mayo and chilli and cheese. Was so nice.
Pre supper 5.1 having beef curry has been simmering all day in the slow cooker. The house smells amazing
 
Ok to follow on from my post yesterday, pre tea 4.4 after 1 hr tested twice 4.8 & 4.7 after 2 hrs tested twice 4.8 & 4.9
what did i eat??????

old el paso bbq fajita mix 1/2 packet
1 onion 1 red pepper
160g chicken breast
250g Tilda brown basmati rice (microwave pouch)
half pint of coors lite.

should i test on 3 hrs ??????
